Gurney Paragon Celebrates 1st Anniversary by Giving Back
Celebrating
its first year anniversary since its opening on 23 July 2013, Gurney Paragon
Mall not only offered visiting shoppers rewards and perks for the specific month,
but also took the opportunity to treat 34 underprivileged children to a movie
experience at TGV cinema.
The
beneficiaries were children from Rumah Kebajikan Seri Cahaya who caught
‘Teenage Ninja Mutant Turtles’. They also received goodie bags courtesy of Toy
World and enjoyed a meal at TGIF restaurant as part of the special outing.
‘Fabulous 3’ Rewards Shoppers, Brings Joy to Community
To commemorate the mall’s third anniversary,
Gurney Paragon rewarded shoppers with perks and special rewards. Themed
‘Fabulous 3’, the campaign included complimentary shopping vouchers, parking
discounts, special deals at selected participating outlets such as ECCO, it
also gave back to the community through its initiatives. Launching a limited
edition card designed with Datuk Jimmy Choo, sale of the card is at priced
RM20, and 50% of proceeds from the sale of each card went towards supporting
the Association of Resource and Education for Autistic Children (Lions REACh).
Coming Together to Support Conservation At Gurney Paragon
The
Art for Nature (AFN) Exhibition was launched by Khor Siang Gin, Group Managing
Director of Hunza Properties Bhd at St. Jo’s Novitiate, Gurney Paragon Mall. An
annual arts initiative showcasing paintings and sculptures of nature-inspired
art by both international and local artists, 50% of proceeds from the sale of
artwork went towards WWF Malaysia’s initiatives to support conservation efforts.
The theme of AFN 2016 was ‘Treasure Nature’, and artworks illustrated animals,
plants, places and people in various media from Chinese ink, water colour to
oil on canvas, etc. Yg Bhg Dato’ Dr Dionysius Sharma, WWF-Malaysia Executive
Director/CEO, thanks all parties for their efforts, “On behalf of WWF-Malaysia,
I would like to thank Madam Cheong and Island Gallery for organising Art for
Nature 2016; and Gurney Paragon Mall for hosting the exhibition…We hope that Art
for Nature 2016 will be an exciting celebration of our natural treasures that
will inspire everyone to treasure and protect nature’s gifts.”
